" Wednesday Wind Southerly a Small Breeze fine Clear Weather. 9 Men Embarked in 5 small Canoes with 15 Pieces of trading Goods to go up the River to Settle a House. also Mr Charles Thom. Isham & 4 men went by land with 3 Horses loaded with trading Goods."

Sept. 11
" Thursday Wind variable fresh Breezes at times Cloudy weather. At noon a Indian man & his Wife arrived with some Provisions to trade. one man ? came back with them to see it safe to the House."

Sept. 12
" Friday Wind N West a stiff Breeze Cloudy Weather. traded with the Indians & they went away. the People variously Employed. received About 150 lb of half dried meat & a few Furrs from the Indians."
