Thursday Wind NNE a small breeze weather fore part clear latter part cloudy. at noon those men that was taking wood work came home & informed me that they had wood work for 2 Canoes. at 10 AM Mr Charles Thomas Isham, Mr Whitford, Wm Mowett, John Johnston Jun., George Stainger, George Robinson, Robt. Whitley, Charles hay, Magnus Cooper went away to the red river with 6 Horses loaded with trading goods also the Indians went away. men left here Wm Sabbiston as Master, Peter Sabbiston, Hugh Sabbiston, John Johnston sen., robt. Randall & Tho. Stainger."

" Friday Wind WSW a stiff breeze & fine clear weather. the people Employ'd taking home the wood work."

Sept. 21
" Saturday Wind NNE a fresh Breeze & cloudy. at noon an Indian man & his wife arrived with 8 Beaver in furrs & 30 lbs of Half Dryed meat which they traded & went away. Employd the same as yesterday myself mending a Net."

Sept. 22
" Sunday Wind N a middleing Breeze weather fore part Clear latter part cloudy inclinable to rain. at 7 PM Perrence arrived in a small canoe from Cumberland House who Informed me that John Irwin sen. Died on the Journey also that he saw 4 Canoes of Canadians proceeding up Secakhawan river of the new Company."

" Monday wind NNW a fresh breeze & cloudy inclinable to rain. the people Employd taking home wooden work myself mending nets set 1 in the river got 3 Pike."

Sept. 24
" Tuesday wind NW a stiff breeze weather clear & cloudy alternate employd mudding the Inside of the masters room. in the evening arrived 2 Indian men & 2 women brought a little half Dryed moose meat & a few furrs."

Sept. 25
" Wednesday Wind SW a stiff breeze weather clear & Cloudy at times. traded with the Indians & they went away. received 7 Beaver in Furrs & 50 lbs of half Dryed meat. the People Employed cutting grafs to Lay up the Canoes with to keep the Birch rine from splitting. Myself a Net Working."

Sept. 26
" Thursday Wind NE a middleing Breeze weather cloudy with rain in the evening. employd cutting grafs at noon an Indian man & his wives arrived from the southward brought some Dried meat."

Sept. 27
" Friday Wind NW a fresh breeze & Cloudy with rain the most part of the day. traded with the Indians. rec'd 135 lbs of Dryed meat & fat 40 lbs."

Sept. 28
" Saturday Calm & light airs. employed carrying home grafs at 10 AM Mr Whitford & George Robinson return'd from the red river with 3 Horfses for Trading Goods. I engaged the Indian that arrived on Thursday to hunt at Swan River during the Winter."

Sept. 30
" Monday Wind SW a stiff Breeze & Cloudy the People employd 2 Men taking up Potatoes got 4 Bushels the rest getting themselves in readinefs to go to the red river with trading goods."

" Tuesday Wind N a fresh breeze & Cloudy. at 9 AM Mr Whitford & 3 Men went away to the red river with 3 Horses loaded with trading goods."

Oct. 2
" Wednesday Wind SW with fresh breezes & Clear. 2 Men sawing birch for sleds the rest getting a little pine wood. Myself putting things to rights in the Warehouse. in the evening 1 Canadian Canoe arrived with 7 Men & one Mr Lerue Master of the goods left 3 More at the should river that will be here to morrow."

Oct. 3
" Thursday Calm & clear hot weather 2 Men getting birch for sleds the other 2 Digging a Bing in the garden to keep turnips in from the frost. at 8 PM an Indian man & his wife arrived brot a few furrs & some provisions part of which they traded for brandy & got drunk."

Oct. 4
" Friday Wind & weather the same as yesterday Peter Sabbiston making an Indian Coat the rest getting a little fire wood. Traded with the Indians rec'd 29 Beaver in furrs Dryed Meat 100 lbs Fatt 40 lb Beat meat 50 lb. 12 Frenchmen set off to build a House about 2 Days walk up the river."

" Sunday Wind Variable weather clear & cloudy alternate. at 10 AM Arrived James Spence Jun, Wm. Budge, Wm. Sinclair, John Gun & Robt. Willson in a Canoe with the YF Packet & 7 Pieces of goods."

" Monday Wind Northerly a small breeze & dark cloudy weather. the people arrived yesterday resting themselves, the rest variously Employed."

" Tuesday Wind NE a stiff gale & Clear sent 1 Man a hunting the rest cutting firewood."

" Monday Wind & weather much the same as yesterday. at 9 AM Mr Isham & 4 men arriv'd from Malborough brot 100 lbs of Dryed meat & some half Dryed Beaver got some fish to day."

" Thursday Wind Westerly a stiff gale & clear. at 9 AM Mr Isham & 7 men set off for the red river the people here employd hauling home fire wood & overhauld the Net got 30 small fish. this Morning Perrence left the Honble Hudsons Bay Companys Service & went to the Canadian service."

Nov. 29
" Friday calm & clear fine weather employd getting firewood & overhauled the net got 16 Pike. 2 Canadians went past from their New House with 2 sleds of Moose meat to Mr Lerue our Neighbout is making a great Complaint that they will have no succefs of trade till Mr Ishams goods be out for his being above them & right in the way of the Indians stops thee Indians to proceed further."

" Sunday calm & clear fine weather at 5 PM one of the men that went away with Mr Isham returned informed me that he went as farr as the french house & so returnd by Mr Ishams orders he also informed me of 2 Horses being knock'd up on the road so as they was obliged to leave them on the road."
