Mr Charles Isham have declined to return to Swan river; I have thought it expedient to continue you in the Charge of that Settlement till you receive farther Orders from the Chief of this place after Shiptime.
Have now sent you Six men in two Large Canoes with a choice afsortment of Trading Goods &c you are to use the strictest aconomy in the expenditure of the Companys property entrusted to your care. you are also to use your utmost endeavours to procure as much Furrs & provisions as pofsible you can: by so doing it will entitle you to the confidence of Sir,
