At Noon Mr William Tomison and five Men embarked in two Canoes for York Factory accompanied by four Canoes of Indians. - Men left here are, Magnus Twatt (in charge), Wm Hawkland and John Poplar."

June 3
" Friday Wind Wly a small Breeze clear Weather. employed cleaning rubbish out of the House. At Noon four Canoes of Indians went away."

June 4
" Saturday Wind NE a fresh Breeze, Weather part clear part Cloudy. - The last of the Indians went away. one Man and myself went to the Nets, took up two to be repaired, 2 Sturgeon. - At Noon 2 Canoes of Indians arrivd from the Northw. brought a few Furrs."

" Tuesday Wind E till Noon then NE a heavy Gale and clear. - Gave those Indians that arrived the 19 inst. a supply of Ammunition and Tobacco and sent them away. - Sent the Men to the Point to clean the Bark off the Stockadoes."

At 10 AM Mr Wm Tomison and three Englishmen embarked for Manchester House. - At Sunset 2 Canoes of Indians arrived, brought 33 Geese & 1 Swan, of which they traded part for Brandy and got Drunk."

" Thursday Wind variable from SW to ENE a middling Breeze fine clear Weather. - The Indians went away - Sent four Men to the Nets took up two to be repaired (2 Sturgeon) afterwards doing odd Jobbs about the House. - Men left here are as follows viz. Magnus Twatt Master, Wm Sabbiston, John Ballenden, Wm Hawkland, Halcro Smith and John Davie."

One Man making a Net, the rest gathering fire Wood for Winters firing - The Indians went away."

Sept. 20
" Tuesday Wind Nly a stiff Gale till evening then a small Breeze clear Weather with a little Frost. Employed as before."

Sept. 21
" Wednesday Wind SW a small Breeze Weather Cloudy and clear alternately. - At 4 AM one Canoe arrived brought part of a Doe Moose, at 5 PM 3 Canoes arrived from the Northward, brought 30 Geese, 4 Swans, 4 Doe Moose and 14 unskinned Beaver, part of which they traded. At 6 PM two Canadian Canoes arrived. Mr MacGilvery and Mr Tomison Masters. - The People employed one Man making a Net two cleaning the Yard, Sent two to set 2 Sturgeon Nets & myself trading with the Indians."

Sept. 22
" Thursday Wind and Weather as yesterday. Gave the Gentlemen that arrived yesterday about 60 lbs fresh Meat and they went away. The Indians getting Sober, employed keeping the Gates and taking care of the House."

Sept. 23
" Friday Wind variable from SW to SE a small Breeze Weather Cloudy with rain - Traded with the Indians and they went away - Four Men falling fire Wood the other and myself fitting out Indians that went away. afterwards Net working and putting things to rights in Trading Room."

" Saturday Wind NW a small Breeze with thick fogg till evening then clear - Myself and four Men went to lay Sleepers of the new House. Wm Sabbiston home, getting the Meat split up as it will not keep with out being dried."

" Monday Wind Weather and Mens employ as before. At Noon 2 Indian Canoes arrived from the West'd with a few Furrs and Provisions to Trade."

" Tuesday Wind Ely a small Breeze. Weather clear and Cloudy alternately - Four Men employed falling fire Wood, one and myself attending the Indians. Received the most part of 3 Moose, 27 Beaver in Furrs and a little half dried Meat. - One Canoe went away."

Sept. 28
" Wednesday Wind NW a hard Gale with flying Clouds much Thunder and Rain last night. Wm Sabbiston employed drying Moose Meat, the rest with myself at the Point, laid the Sleepers fit for building on. - In the evening the other two Indians went away."

Sept. 29
" Thursday Wind SE a small Breeze Cloudy Wea. with rain. - Sent two Men to the Nets, took them to dry (3 Sturgeon) the rest and myself at the Point squaring Timber as it will not do with out being hewed again, the reason is, the Summer has warped all that were squared."

Sept. 30
" Friday Wind Nly a heavy Gale with rain and sleet. Two Men Net working, the rest and myself overhauling the Furrs and doing odd Jobbs in Doors."

Oct. 1 1791
" Saturday Wind as yesterday cold Cloudy Weather and Snow at times. - Two Men making a Net, the rest variouly employed in doors. - At 4 PM two Indian Men two Boys & 2 Women arrived from the West'd, left what they had at the carrying place above - Sent the People to fetch it, who return'd in the evening with 12 small parcels of dried Meat, they left 7 unskinned Beaver being unable to carry them."

Oct. 2
" Sunday Wind NW a strong Gale with a little Snow till Noon then clear. - Sent the People for the Beaver left at the carrying place, when they return'd traded with the Indians. Received 7 unskinned Beaver & 250 lbs half dried Moose Meat, trusted them a little Debt and they went away, and one Canoe arrived from the Northwest, brought the Sides & Briskets of 3 Moose which they traded and went away and James Flett Sen. with Wm Groundwater arrived in a Canoe from the South Branch with the agreeable News of all being well in that quarter, they brought 100 lbs hard Fatt some Birchrind and 3 tracking Lines."

" Monday Wind WNW a fresh Breeze Cloudy Wea. with a hard frost - At 8 PM set off with two Men in a Canoe up the River to Trade what Furrs the Indians have before the Canadians arrive. left Wm Sabbiston to take care of the House, the rest drying Meat."

Oct. 4
" Tuesday Wind as yesterday Weather Cloudy with a little Snow at times - Four Men went to take Roots for sewing Canoes. Wm Sabbiston drying Meat to be pounded."

Oct. 5
" Wednesday Wind variable from NW to NE a small Breeze, Weather first part clear latter part Cloudy inclinable to Snow - employed as yesterday, set the Women to Work to beat Meat."

Oct. 6
" Thursday Wind Nly a fresh Gale Cloudy Weather with Snow in the evening - At 2 PM arrived at the House with a few Furrs 4 Pachment Skins, 60 lb beat Meat & 60 lbs fresh Meat. left the Canoe at the carrying place above, also some Birch for Sleds and Snow Shoes."

Oct. 7
" Friday Wind variable, Weather first part clear, latter part Cloudy with light Snow. - One Man employed making a Net, three taking Grafs for laying up Canoes. Myself and one Man went to bring the Canoe round to the House but the Ice driving so thick in the little River prevented our getting through - In the evening six Bungees that trade with the Canadians arrived with a few Furrs 3 Geese & 2 unskinned Beaver which they Traded and went away and two Canoes arrived from the North'd brought 12 MB in Furrs 3 unskinned Br, 20 Geese & 1 Swan, part of which they traded for Brandy to take away with them."

Oct. 8
" Saturday Wind NW a fresh Breeze, Weather clear and Cloudy at times with Showers of Snow. - Ice driving in the Lake, the Indians went away and an Indian Man with his Wife arrived with a few Furrs to Trade, the Men employed on sundry duties."

Oct. 9
" Sunday Calm and Cloudy traded with the Indians that arrived yesterday. - Received 12 MB 3 Moose Skins and 1 Tent."

Oct. 10
" Monday Wind variable with a drizzling Sleet till Noon then a hard Gale NW, cold Weather. - One Man Net working the rest gathering fire Wood - Two Indians arrived, having left their Canoe at the carrying place above. Sent the Men away for what they had, who return'd in the evening with 20 Br in furrs and about half a Doe Moose - The Ice set up along the Shore."

Oct. 11
" Tuesday Wind NW a fresh Breeze, Weather clear & Cold with a sharp Frost. The Lake set fast last Night.
Employed as yesterday. - traded with the Indians and they went away, and two more arrived from the Westw'd left their trade at the carrying place, six Men and myself went to fetch it, at Sunset return'd with the most part of 3 Doe Moose, a few Furrs and 5 unskinned Beaver which we were unable to carry."

One Man at Net working five gathering fire Wood, Myself and the other Man went to the carrying place and brought home 5 unskinned Beaver, then traded with the Indians and they went away."

One Man net working and the rest gathering fire Wood. At noon 7 Canoes pafsed by for the South Branch two of which are going to Winter where a House is to be built 3 days paddle from this place which will be a great hurt to this House."
