This Day (Saturday) the people made a regular complaint of the badnefs of Some of the Pork sent out last Year. and realy their complaint was not without great reason, as many of the Pieces is so rusty as to be unfit for any human to eat. and which is most extraordinary we find some Pretty good; some Middling; and some intolerably bad all in one Cask. From this Account it may probably be thought that the defect might arise from the Casks not being full of Pickle but we can all affirm to the contrary, as the Cask that contained the very worst meat was the fullest of Pickle, of any that has yet been opened. The Pork seems to have been tolerably Good but has been so spoiled in curing that not one piece is of equal quallity with what we formerly received from England after it had been kept 18 months or 2 Years."
