Hudson's Bay Company Archives microfilm Reel 1M45, Section B class 59 SD a Piece 67. Transcribed August 2014 by Jennifer Kolthammer. My genealogy site is http://genealogy.kolthammer.org/Inkster-o/

The Eastmain post journal was kept from September to September, at which time it was closed up and sent to London on a company ship. I have transcribed a few interesting days prior to 15 September 1791, then complete journal entries from 15 September 1791 until 2 September 1792 so as to get the flavor of a complete year. Spelling and grammar are as recorded in the journal although some of the place and Indian names were difficult to decipher. After 2 September 1792, I have abstracted selected items and omitted weather reports.

Words in [square brackets] are notes added by me. The term MBr represents 'made beaver', a unit of measuring fur value.
